Data Deletion Instructions

If you'd like us to delete the personal data we hold about you, follow the instructions below. This applies to data collected through our website, client portal, WhatsApp conversations with Ayra (our AI assistant), email, or any bookings you've made with HVR Photography.

How to request deletion

Send us a deletion request by any of the following:

Please include:

  • The email and/or phone number you used with us.
  • Whether you'd like full deletion or just to be removed from our marketing list.

What we'll delete

Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete:

  • Your client record (name, email, phone, company, preferences).
  • Your portal login account (Firebase Authentication).
  • Your WhatsApp conversation history with Ayra.
  • Inquiries, quotes, and project records tied to you.
  • Delivered photos and videos in our storage, if you request.
  • Email marketing consent — you'll be added to our permanent suppression list.

What we may need to retain

Canadian tax law requires that we keep financial records (invoices, payments) for 7 years. We'll redact personal identifiers where possible, but the underlying transaction records are retained until the legal retention period ends.

How long it takes

We will confirm your request within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. We'll send you a final confirmation when the deletion is complete.

Third-party services

We'll delete your data from our own records. Third-party processors we use (Firebase, Vercel, Meta/WhatsApp, Google, Resend, Groq, Gemini, Stripe, Instagram) may retain backups or logs per their own policies. If you'd like your data removed from those services, you can contact each provider directly:
